Powder Turns In Jackson

It’s like floating on clouds, the ones that you dream of so soft and fluffy nothing compares to it. Well maybe a really soft pillow and down blanket after you hiked for it all day!
This has been my program since the x-games in February. No crazy jumps and banked turns for the last few weeks, just pillow lines and cliffs. Well maybe a few banked turns on the long skate out of granite. Oh and I guess the competitive edge is there cause my competitor for life is always along side me when I get home to Jackson.
So nice to be home with my big bro to go shredding with every day. He always helps me push my limits in everything I do.
He is the reason I am addicted to the adrenaline, the powder, and the life I live!
Also why I was so lucky to have him along side me for the last three races I did in January and early February! He came with me to NY were we raced in Lake Placid and up in Ontario for the final two world cups before x games.
It is amazing how my perspective of the sport changes when I have a friend so close helping me out and supporting me. It gives you that extra bit of confidence that makes you push your limits, and accomplish things maybe you as an athlete never even thought possible.
I got to compete in the winter x-Games in Aspen. It was my first x-Games and I have never seen a better ski cross ever! It is the world cups I race times 10. The jumps are HUGE and speed is high. Fist day of Practice I was so intimidated. My Brother wouldn’t allow me to psych myself out, he infused me with positive energy!!!! It was awesome when I finally ran the course fully and killed it alone.
I did well in qualifying and was excited about my performance, but it just changes when you add 5 people next to you. I am still progressing in the sport and was happy to end the week in 8th place. I cant wait for next xgames its sooooooooo RAD!!!!!

Off to some more pow skiing in Jackson hole and then hopefully back on the ski cross tour for a few more races in Switzerland!!!!

Matt Mulligan in Chile

Hey what's up everybody, this is Powderhorn athlete, Matt Mulligan checking in with some photos from my summer in South America! I spent some time in Portillo, Chile filming with Shadow Puppet Productions for their fall '10 release, and got lucky enough to hit some really great snow conditions. We got the chance to shred around some of the biggest mountains in the world with over 2 meters of fresh underneath our skis, and rode some really banger lines. Here's some photos of our time on the other side of the equator, and be sure to watch for the video in next years Shadow Puppet Productions film!
