The brilliant product developers over here at Powderhorn worldwide headquarters introduced a new addition to the world of down jackets this season - Ceramic Down. In the 2009 collection, two new styles incorporate ceramic down into the down fill. Ceramic is a heat conductor. In the Gunpowder Jacket (men's) and Powdersmoke (women's), the down insulation is interwoven with ceramic yarn storing or releasing heat and dispersing it throughout the jacket, depending on your body's temperature. This piece is lightweight and high tech, making it the ideal all around jacket for backcountry adventures, visits to the white room, and bluebird groomers.
